Mali Festivals...

I found out that many of the festivals in Markala and Segu are actually in January and Febuary. I recommend the group rallies around the month of January. If I have people that want to do a Febuary trip we can arrange that also. For me, we can even do a tour on an offtime with only one person. I am open. Tell me what you would like...

UPDATE! January is the time

Ok. It seems the group consensus is forming around 2 to 3 weeks in January. If you are at all interested or even thinking about joining this trip please add your comments about what you envision a good trip to Mali to be. I want to make this trip the bomb. I want to organize it really well. thanx, Jeremy

Nature-Waterfalls-Healing

My friend, Veer Diakite, told me there is a beautiful spot maybe 2 hours from Bamako with a waterfall and healing waters to swim in. I think we should try to work in a day visit to this place during our 2 week trip. BTW, if anyone wants to stay for more than 2 weeks, for ex. - 3 weeks, let me know. You can come a week early and stay at my house in Bamako and we can arrange to do and see various things while you are here.

Festival Dates...

I am doing research right now into the dates of all the interesting festivals here in Mali. Within a day or two I will be posting the dates and a small description of the festivals. I may be doing 3 group trips a year where the dates are surrounding the various different festivals. You can choose which date/festival combo works for you and we can begin to organize the trip. Mali is full of amazing things to see. I myself am excited about our first trip!
